Good times! As expected, my fourth of July celebration included alcohol, open flame and small doses of explosive chemicals. God I love America. The Mrs. and I, Kelly (from school) and her significant other, as well as two people somehow tied to Kelly whom I can’t remember their names at the moment took the 2.5 block ride to Prospect Ave to view Clarkston’s Fourth of July Extravaganza. All I have to say is wow, Clarkston Chamber of Commerce spared no expense this year. Can you sense the sarcasm? Anywho, after the festivities had ended and the West bank of the Snake River was all ablaze, we made the grueling ride back to the house for more alcohol and explosions. Good times!
The idea of fireworks is pretty silly, if you stop and think about it. We wait until late at night, sit in a park which, on any other day wouldn’t even glance at, to watch sparkly flashes of color in the sky for 15 minutes. Why? Can we as humans be anymore mentally defective? Look at all the pretty colors.
This past week has once again been devoted to the renting, ripping and burning of movies. I have alot of movies. The newest additions to my collection are:
- The Godfather Part I
- The Godfather Part II
- Hide and Seek
- Enemy at the Gates
- Superstar
- Snatch
- Chapelle’s Show Season 2
Before I forget, the Goicoechea Eagles (my softball team) have taken 2nd place in league 4 and will be competing in the league 6 championship tournament next week. I have to say, I had a ton of fun playing this season. Even though we weren’t the best team out there and my skills aren’t quite what they used to be. I hope I’m invited to play next season, if I’m still living in this God forsaken area, that is. Which brings me to my final thought.
I’ve started searching for jobs already. Yeah, I know it’s a little early, but I’d like to get a good handle on the specific technologies that employers are looking for most. Plus, with the Mrs. being stuck at LC for another year, I’d like to find a job in an area of the country that interests me. Like San Diego, California. So if any of you see any job openings for an entry level web developer with mediocre in or around the San Diego area, please let me know.
Time for work…

w00t first post!
You are kewl jeff but not as kewl as I am since I didn’t have to go to the park to watch the pretty colors in the sky. I just viewed it from the comfort of my sweet own white trash looking yard. Yahoooo!
Good luck on the job hunt

The fourth was a pretty fun, too bad we couln’t sit in our backyard and watch the fireworks like Arwen. Maybe someday….maybe someday. I hope you can find a job around San Diego even though I will be sad, but that’s life. I hope that you are excited that I finally posted!

San Diego? WTF? I thought you were going to work for me, at TimCan’tReid Enterprizes. Even as I write this, I’m roughing out the floor plans for our corporate headquarters office, in scenic downtown Pomeroy, Washington. Your office was even going to have its own urinal, with a kool-aid dispensing bidet right next to it. Geez — now I gotta start all over again…
Btw, congrats on the softball team. And yeah, you have WAY more movies than you need. See ya next week!

Arwen:
Does it rain firework debris on your house on the 4th? I’ve always wondered that.
Mrs.:
You sexy thang you! Finally getting your first posting period. I’m just so proud of you!
Tim:
Keep a kool-aid bidet open for me as I’m sure I’ll be back soon to answer phones for Mr. CantReid very soon.

oh yes it rains right down on us Jeff. Plus as an added bonus we get all the visiting crazies who do their fireworks in the street and leave their garbage for the rest of us to enjoy. But its nice to not have to fight for a parking space and I get to put my kids right to bed without having to drive them home.
Tim I’m jealous of the kool-aid bidet….perhaps I can come work for you as well
I give great phone
