CES Final Thoughts

Man I’m tired. Seven days is a long time to spend in Las Vegas. This was definitely the most productive trip to Vegas yet! Some notable highlights:

• Met and conversed with Diggnation hosts Alex Albrecht and Kevin Rose.
• Attended the Microsoft Keynote. Bill Gates and Justin Timberlake were both there.
• Attended the Google Keynote address where Larry Page was accompanied by Robin Williams who proceeded to do standup comedy for about 30 minutes.
• Was so close to Dan Marino all three of us could have slapped him in his dumb face. Note to self, never hire a celebrity for guest appearances without prepping him with information about the event.
• The Mrs. won a Samsung A900 cellphone. Retail Value: $450.00.
• Jimmie spent a night in the Luxor. I’ll let you ask him about that though. Keyword: Microsoft….
• I saw Chris Pirillo. He’s fat.

There is so much more to talk about. Buy me a cup of coffee and I’ll tell you all about it. The Mrs. and I got SO much bling that the CES non-trad bag is completely full. Don’t worry, I’ll share the wealth.

Notes for Next Year:

• Register as press…always!
• Arrive one day early for press pre-party
• Stay on the strip!! Bus fare adds up quickly.
• Purchase Crocs a.k.a. Best Shoe Ever!
• Shorten your stay as much as possible. The final day of CES is negotiable, most booths are being torn down anyway. It might be a good idea to catch an afternoon flight out.

Now, back to reality. Financial Aid on Friday! Let’s get together and have coffee or something. Time to fly. Later.
