The New Revision3

If you’re any kind of geek, then you already know wh0 Revision3 is and that they recently relaunched their service with a new website and a handful of new shows. I have to be honest, I haven’t watched any of the new shows yet. Partly due to laziness, but mostly due to busyness. I’ll get to it eventually.

I love the new design that rev3 has put up, but I find it is lacking some major features that were present in the last design. Most notably: RSS links and Itunes subscription links. Neither are to be found anywhere. Why is that? I can’t for the life of me figure out why they wouldn’t include these simple yet powerful features. Maybe they want their pageviews to increase? But they aren’t showing ads in the new layout so downloading the episode directly from the website or streaming it via the snazzy flash player won’t necessarily generate any more revenue than me watching on my ipod. Who knows.

Schweet! I heard on TWIT awhile back that rev3 was having a big party in San Francisco to celebrate the launch of their new site, but I kind of spaced it out. Thanks for the tip and the link. That is kinda weird that they don’t have any feed links on the new site though. But as I’m sure you noticed, iTunes has a big ol’ Revision3 button right on the main page of their podcast directory that’ll hook us up to all the goodness. I don’t suppose that does any good for the peeps that don’t use iTunes as their aggregator though (which is probably quite e few, considering what a cluster-phuque that 7.0 upgrade was).
